Illinois Electronic Visit Verification is a federally mandated program that requires Medicaid-funded personal care and home health services to be verified through an electronic system. The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) offers an EVV system to all providers. Illinois operates on an open EVV model, wherein agency providers have the option to use an alternate EVV system like AxisCare home health care software.
